PPG Fly-In

USPPA CONVENTION MARCH 24-26 2006

Polk City, Florida

This event is one of the biggest events in the U.S.A. Part of the event is the National Competitions in which PPG pilots from all over the world compete.  Eric Dufour from Para Motor City, Albuquerque, New Mexico had won the competition and is normally the guy to beat. There were many vendors there, along with the newest equipment and technology in the PPG business.

The flying was a blowout for most pilots because of high winds, however Mark and I did to manage to get one evening flight in. There were a few Canadians Pilots that showed up for the event, Meta and Csaba from the Toronto area along with Wayne and Susan Mitchler from Alberta.

This was the first time going to Florida for me and overall the experience was great. It gave me a chance to meet new pilots as well seeing some of the best pilots in the world compete. The weather was warm, however some mornings did produce frost as shown in one of the photos.

I highly recommend this event to anyone to attend, and a very special thanks to Scott Adair and the volunteers who made it a very successful event.
