25 June 08 - Shane completes his PPG course -
Shane had flown his last qualifying flights to complete his course early this
morning. The winds were very light and Shane had no problem launching under
these conditions. Congrats, Shane on the completion of your course!! Well done!!

24 June 08 - Several More Flights this evening
- The winds came down this evening and Shane had flown several more unassisted
flights. Shane only has a few more flights to qualify and complete the course.
Tomorrow's weather is looking good for flying. We might have another qualified
PPG pilot tomorrow morning. Good work Shane!!

24 June 08 - Several Flights for Shane
- This morning Shane had flown several flights . The winds started to pick up
so we'll look at continuing on later on this evening. Congrats Shane on your
first flights!!

24 June 08 - Day 3 Shane's training -
We had a chance to get in a full day of training. We completed our Kiting,
In-flight procedures and Shane wrote his SPP exam later on in the evening. Shane
is ready to Fly!! Come on Weather!!

23 June 08 - Day 2 Shane's training -
We had continued with Shane's training today but unfortunately the weather
outside was on the edge of raining and extremely windy. We had completed
Pre-flight, Starting procedure, and Shane had a chance to practice simulated
launch procedure with the motor under thrust on his back. Hopefully
tomorrow will bring better weather to get in paraglider and In-flight training

22 June 08 - Shane start's training - Shane
is another pilot from the rock (Nfld) that had started his training this
evening. We had completed his theory classes as well as completed some
motor training.

21 June 08 - Rob completed his course
- Rob finally completed his last qualifying flights this morning.
Rob was only available on week-ends and it was difficult to get the good flying
weather and Rob together at the same time. Congrats, Rob on a long awaited
completion of your course. Note* Johanne had written her SPP exam
and was successful. She's ready to fly!!

20 June 08 - Johanne starts training -
Johanne has been helping me with students in the training field for the last two
years. Needless to say, she has seen many examples of the different type of
training that we train for PPG. Jo has a good knowledge of set up and
kiting skills just watching the many errors that she had seen out in the field.
Today, I went over some basic trike kiting skills with her and this
morning was her turn to show off to see what she had learned from standing back
and watching. She had no problem with inflations and after a little instruction
she was kiting well after a few attempts. Jo had already had been involved with
all my theory classes and this morning with the Xcitor I went over pre-flight/
set up/ launching/Flying procedures/emergency procedures/ and landing with her.
The only thing left for her to complete is to write her student pilot permit. Jo
will review the CARS today and will write her exam sometime later on today.
Once she gets her SPP Johanne will continue training with the Xcitor. I'll have
my own auto pilot!! Great work JO!!

16 June 08 - Bob picked up his new WJ F200
- Bob drove down after work to pick up his new WJ this evening. When Bob
left the winds were low and I was able to take the Excitor out for a 40 min
flight. The Excitor is a great aircraft to fly!!

15 June 08 - Happy Father's Day - Mike had
his first trike flight this evening. Mike was a little nervous in which is
natural on pilots taking their first flight and we both had decided that
one flight was enough for this evening. Congrats Mike on your first flight!!

Jim and Tim were able to get a 15 minute flight in the
light rain this morning for Father's Day. Mike my student had made several
attempts to launch this morning but unfortunately was unable to get in his first
flight. We had decided it would be best to attach his paramotor to a trike and
conduct trike training to have a better chance of success of flight. Later on we
can go back to foot launch.

14 June 08 - Another day of training -
We started training this morning at 0900 hrs until 2130 late this evening.
We had covered all the subjects and practice required for Mike to write his SPP
permit. Mike was successful and is now ready to fly!! Mike is physically
drained due to running his glider back and forth across the field but he is in
good spirits and can't wait until his first flight. Hopefully tomorrow
morning Mike will get his chance.!! Good work Mike!!

13 June 08 - 1st Student from Newfoundland
- Mike made it off the rock to become our 1st student from Newfoundland.
Again, we started with motor training followed by glider training later on this
evening when the winds calmed down a little. Near the end of the
evening we had the Re-max Balloon pay us a visit.

7 June 08 - New Used Gear Section - We have
placed a new used gear section under the paramotors page. Check it out for great
deals!!
6 June 08 - Marius flew the Mini PPC
- Marius had flown many successful flights this morning. He was very
impressed with flying the Mini PPCg and has purchased one after seeing how easy
it is to fly!!

Also Jim , Ray and Ed took advance of the nice
weather this morning and went on a XC to Apohaqui, Bewick and back to Sussex.
5 June 08 - Marius started Mini PPC training
- Marius decided to take up trike training. After many practice
inflations back and forth today, he is ready to take is first flight.

4 June 08 -
Another Qualified Pilot!! - Jeff wrote his Ultra-Light Exam
today and picked up his License. Congrats, Jeff on passing your exam!!

3 June 08 -
New Walkerjet Owner - Jim is running in his new Walkerjet Paramotor.
Jim is the first owner of the newly designed frame by Walkerjet. After an
engine run-in Jim and I fitted his new motor to his trike, finished up by a
weight and balance check. He's now ready to fly his new motor!!

3 June 08 - Day
Three continues - A Hot Air Balloon took off this morning before we
started training. Pierre and Marius practice in very light winds and I
took a small demo flight on the Mini PPCg.

2 June 08 - Day Two continues - Pierre and
Marius worked another hard day with kitting and simulator training before they
wrote their student pilot exam late in the evening. Hopefully the weather
co-operates tomorrow so they get their first flights!!

1 June 08 - New students start
their training - Pierre and Marius started training today. On day
1 we had a chance to complete a fair part of motor training and kiting as well.
